In summary, the state department released its China adoption numbers for 2007
In 2007, Americans adopted 5,453 orphans
In 2006, Americans adopted 6,493 orphans
...that is a difference of 18% fewer adoptions than in 2006 plus add on the big push for special needs adoptions and the new Scop program our agency is starting and you can definitely tell why Non-special needs adoptions are taking so long.
Let's just hope the number doesn't go down another 18% in 2008; although, I have a feeling it will which will explain why we won't be getting our referral closer to summer rather than spring of 2008...
I just keep hoping she will be here before Halloween 2008. Seems silly, but at this point who can be sure what will happen....
2008 is going to be a very long year!!!!!!!!!!
