Alarming rumors

There are some alarming rumors out and about, and I wanted to make a quick note to address these issues about what appears to be happening....

It seems that there is apparently an agency that has gotten referrals for their Feb 2006 LID groups. Bet ya'all are wondering where the heck that adorable picture is of our new kid then, huh???

So here is the RUMOR......

Well, apparently this agency has some "relationship" with someone at the CCAA and they get their referrals well before other LIDs.

So much for that good relationship our agency said they had with the CCAA!

Anyway, I guess that the people who adopt through this other agency tells their clients to not tell people when their LID is and everything seems to done on the "down low". (This is all RUMOR....so I don't know how much is fact) It seems this agency may be able to submit dossiers when they don't have that pesky I171h form that all adoptive parents have to wait for from U.S. immigration. It is added to their dossiers at a later time, hence, they get a LID when everything is complete, but are referred babies sooner since they are put in "in line" well in advance and don't have to wait on that piece of paperwork like the rest of us poor slobs who have "no connections"!

So for instance, if we were with this agency, we would have been able to submit our paperwork on October 12th (when our homestudy was approved) and even though our "official" LID isn't until January 17, 2006 since our paperwork was submitted early (even though it was not complete) we would have gotten our referrals with the October 12th group instead of having to wait for the January 17th group. I know....very confusing and doesn't really make much sense but this does seem to be happening.

So, at this point, I am not really sure what to think other than if they can give this agency referrals into February 2006, where the heck is mine and why the heck didn't we know about this agency when we started our adoption process??!!???

We could have had our referral and been home for Christmas this year.....

So now you know why I have a constant stomachache and headache and can't sleep most nights all the way through.....you would end up crazy too if you had to put up with this kind of crap!!!
